I graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1986 and did my residency in Denver, Colorado.  I grew up in Marin County and have practiced here since the completion of my residency.  I focus on sports medicine, but also treat non-sports related conditions. I take a conservative approach to treatment and recommend surgery as a last resort.

I participated in cross country running in college and became interested in Podiatry because of its focus on biomechanics and sports medicine.  During my residency in Colorado, I took up bicycle racing and moved through the ranks to become a category II road cyclist and pro/elite mountain biker. I have extensive experience treating bicyclists and runners, but also treat many athletes from other sports as well as non-athletes. I served on Bicycling Magazine's fitness advisory panel and have treated many top athletes including Olympians and Tour de France riders.
